The town is filled with people in retro attire, live rock ‘n’ roll bands, food vendors, and vibrant murals of cars and 50s-era teens. 

Smaller car shows also happen throughout the month, like the Graffiti Classic at McHenry Village and the “Back to Graffiti” show at The Fruit Yard. These events are more community-focused but still feature hundreds of vehicles from various eras, often with awards and charity fundraising built in.
